ABOUT KAMEY

Kamey has over 10 years of experience in the design industry including architecture, decor, and kitchen and baths design. Her extensive knowledge of kitchen and bath products as well as cabinet design and cabinet installation allow her to successfully assist clients in building their dream space.

Kamey has always enjoyed organizing and redesigning spaces. As a child, she changed up her bedroom every season. In 1998 Kamey enrolled at the University of North Texas as a Computer Science major, following her interest in movie graphics and animation. When classes failed to keep her interested, Kamey switched to Interior Design after visiting the UNT Art Department and found her calling.

Kamey enjoys making her clients’ dream space a reality, from concept drawing to the final product. Her design approach is collaborative. She listens to each client’s unique situation and vision for their space and helps determine an appropriate budget. From there, Kamey directs the design construction, suggests elements that may have overlooked and works hard to ensure each client is 100% satisfied with the result.

Johnson Kitchen Design Project

About this project: Heather first came to Factory Builder Stores as a builder in need of basic, basic white cabinets for her own personal kitchen. She purchased a home in the Highland Park area and did a partial tear down and addition to the home which would become her new residence. Heather, being a contractor, had a “cabinet guy” who could build her cabinets, but knew that factory built and factory finished cabinetry was of better quality and had a more durable finish. To stay within her cabinet budget, we decided to use our MidContinent line, lovingly called our “best bang for your buck line”.  She brought Kamey with a set of plans and the rest is history. The simplicity of the door with matching drawer front, mixed with clever interior accessory storage design, allowed Kamey to create a beautifully light and sophisticated kitchen for this 2,600 square foot Highland Park home.
