Hate the aqualift feature

I purchase all my new Maytag appliances last June as I was planing on doing my kitchen renovations this summer, which I just finished. I installed all my appliances in my new kitchen, my new appliances had never been used until this month. I was so excited as they look good in my new kitchen. I was happy as I though I was purchasing a self cleaning oven, I was never told at the time of purchase that it was not a self cleaning oven. I used the oven on my new range for the first time, made a blueberry cake, it spilled in the oven so I cleaned it right away, followed all cleaning instructions for the aqualift as it's on my new range, it did not clean my oven. The instructions said to do several times over if it did not work, again it did not work, I tried everything that the instructions said to do but it did not clean my oven. So I went online to see what I was doing wrong only to find out that it was no me doing anything wrong, as from all the reviews online, which were not good, I was not the only one having problems getting the oven clean. This is the worse invention they ever came out with. I mean I love the look of my new range, love all the features it has except the aqualift one. I guess whoever came out with it never clean an oven because it does not clean the side or the top of the oven and it barley clean the bottom as well. I would not recommend to anyone to purchase any appliances that has this feature on it. I called the salesperson only to be told there is nothing they can do. So here I have a new stove and an oventhat is dirty and that I can't clean because you cannot use any oven cleaners or anything with chemical to clean your oven as it will ruin your porcelain finish and void your warranty if you use anything that has chemical. you get a 2 sponge that are useless as they don't clean or have the capability to clean off burnt stains or grease stains on the side or top of oven. My advice to anyone, do not purchase if it has the aqualift feature

Really too big. Sticks out past counter about 6" which is annoying, but so far, after 6 weeks, seems to be good quality. It was expensive.

This oven replaced a 20 year old Maytag and we are really disappointed in the new one. Our old stove had a 1/2 inch lip on the stove top which covered up the rough edge. All you did was lower the legs until it met the counter top and it was a perfect fit . With the new range they have done away with the edge and now it looks like a bad after thought. I called Maytag about it and they said they had a "Trim Kit" that would take care of it but they expected me to pay extra for it. They didn't have any in stock and said they were back ordered. After looking at the dimensions of said trim kit it wouldn't work anyway. The kit is 21 1/2 inches long and the stove top is 23 inches long.How is that suppose to work? One other complaint. It takes twice as long to heat something up. I think Maytag needs to hire new engineers. This stove is a bad joke.
